The NARrative FOcused Wargaming System is a playable, hackable game - rather than an over-detailed simulation of warfare. The NARFO system aims to remove crunch, unusual dice, cards, and external supplements. This system is a template that can be used to craft your own wargames or follow scenarios made by others.
Any epic battle fathomable should be able to be played our on your own dinner table. All it takes is a bit of imagination!

Recently, NARFO Wargaming System has picked up a lot of traction on Itch.io. NARFO has become my most popular project, with nearly 300 total views and over 100 downloads! Thank you everyone for your support and interest in my hobby and passion.Â
Some notable feedback came from user Danboyo555, who recommended that I include an easier way to create/package one's own thoughts and plans as a custom module. Before this feedback, the document was only available for download as a PDF. I have since made it available as the standard .docx format as well, so that anyone may directly use the base to hack their own game together.
I plan on releasing more modules to follow the basic K1 module included in the standard download. Other ambitions for this project include...
A standard list of unit abilities and types.
A creation kit guide, which talks about gameplay philosophy and unit/event/campaign balance.
Better accessibility and resources for mapmaking, unit tracking, and book-keeping.
